Most of the loop will be 50 meters deep during preparation for deployment. The bottom parts of the upcurves may be 500 meters deep, and putting the floats directly on them would provide more damping than anchor cables. The turnarounds at the endw will be anchored to the sea floor with giganewton diagonal cables, which will also need buoyant support.
