Plasma inside the track tube
Assume the average gas velocity inside the track tube is half the rotor velocity, that most of it is ionized oxygen atoms (or lighter elements like nitrogen, carbon, and hydrogen) and that the one-sigma thermal velocity in x, y, and z is also half the rotor velocity. BIG ASSUMPTION
Assume $ kT = mV2 = 0.25 M_O V_P2 $ another Big Assumption
so, T = 16 * 1.66E-27 * 70002 / 1.381E-23 = 95,000 Kelvin = 8.1 eV / atom .
