Kepler's Witch

James A. Conner, Bvtn 520.92 CON 2014

Read 50 pages, quit. Kepler was an intellectual giant, but a product of his superstitious time. The "Witch" was his mother Katherina, an illiterate herb healer, tortured because of accusations of witchcraft. Connor is a former Jesuit priest, now an English professor at Kean University in New Jersey.

The book focuses on Kepler's motivations and methods, and the complex times he lived in. This isn't a bad book, but others are more important to my goals.
