Calculating The Cosmos

Ian Stewart 2016 Beaverton 523.101 STE

Borrowed from the library. I like it so much that I bought a copy to write notes in.

This is not just another "here's the current theory, believe it" book, like so many cosmology books on the shelves. Dr. Stewart describes the "mainstream" theory, then some of the alternative theories, then his own take on things, very clearly. His writing is clear, engaging, collegial, and inspires further study. Besides math and science, Stewart also writes science fiction - where does he find the time?
